Senior AI Specialist - Game Development
For this position, you will be required to work several days a week at our office in Sofia, Bucharest or Zagreb.
We are looking for a visionary developer to join our growing central AI hub and collaborate closely with game studios to help us redefine how we build and operate games.
You won’t just be writing code; you will be the architect of our AI-driven future. Your mission is to accelerate our development velocity by embedding the world's most advanced AI tools into our workflows, nurturing a community of AI-first developers, and building autonomous agentic systems that handle everything from boilerplate code to complex data analytics and productivity.
YOUR MISSION
AI thought leadership: Be our internal compass for what’s next. Evaluate, pilot, and recommend the best AI tools (Copilots, LLMs, IDEs, and Agentic frameworks) for our specific stack.
Drive adoption & standardization: Move beyond individual usage to organizational excellence. Define the gold standard for AI-assisted coding, code reviews, and testing across all game teams.
AI community: Lead our internal AI software development guild and identify and establish best practices. You’ll help traditional developers evolve their roles by enabling and leading the community through workshops, training and sharing sessions. Your goal is to help everyone use AI to overcome creative blocks and focus on high-level game logic
Build agentic pipelines: Architect and deploy autonomous AI agents to automate complex workflows, not just in Unity and C# development, but in CI/CD, game balancing analytics, and studio productivity.
Cross-functional scaling: Partner with our studios and central teams to identify and scale AI solutions that improve both coding and non-coding workflows.
YOUR BACKSTORY
Deep Technical Roots: 8+ years of software development experience. While our heart beats in Unity (C#), you should have wider experience (Python, JavaScript, or C++) and have a solid understanding of the fundamental craft of coding.
AI Power User: You live in Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or specialized LLM environments. You understand the nuances of prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and fine-tuning.
Agentic frameworks: Hands-on experience moving beyond simple chat prompts to building complex AI-driven workflows. You know how to design multi-agent systems that can handle long-running tasks (eg. automated data analysis or end-to-end productivity tools), ensuring the AI can use external tools, remember context, and work toward a specific goal without constant manual hand-holding.
Change Management: Proven ability to mentor and influence other senior developers. You know how to drive adoption without making it feel like a mandate.
Game Industry Context: Experience with Unity-specific AI challenges (e.g., optimizing ECS code with AI, shader generation, or automated playtesting).
