For this position, you will be required to work several days a week at our office in Stockholm, Hamburg, Berlin, Sofia, Bucharest, Malta, or Zagreb.

As Technical Art Director, Generative AI, you define and drive Stillfront’s group-wide vision, strategy, and execution for AI-powered art and creative production. Operating at the intersection of art, technology, and AI, you ensure generative AI is adopted responsibly to elevate creative quality, scale production, and maintain strong artistic identity across studios.

This is a strategic, cross-functional leadership role combining vision, enablement, and targeted hands-on direction.

YOUR MISSION

• Strategy & Vision: Define and lead the Generative AI strategy for art and creative production, aligned with business goals and creative excellence

• Frameworks & Governance: Build and scale AI art frameworks, standards, and best practices, including legal, IP, and ethical guidelines

• Studio Enablement: Partner with studios to improve workflows, solve production challenges, and drive adoption from experimentation to production

• Leadership & Capability: Establish and lead a central AI art capability; mentor teams and drive training and knowledge sharing

• Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with AI, Engineering, Product, Data, and Legal to ensure seamless integration and alignment

• Innovation & Impact: Evaluate tools, guide vendor selection, and translate emerging AI trends into scalable, high-impact solutions

YOUR PROFILE

• 5+ years in game art, technical art, or creative production

• Proven track record in shipping games or live services with complex art pipelines

• Hands-on experience with generative AI tools (e.g., image, 3D, or video generation) and their production application

• Strong understanding of art pipelines (2D, 3D, animation, VFX) and workflow optimization

• Experience defining standards, frameworks, or scalable production systems across multiple teams or studios

• Ability to bridge creative and technical domains, influencing both artists and engineers

• Knowledge of AI-related legal, ethical, and IP considerations in content creation

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at senior leadership level

Nice to Have

• Experience leading AI transformation or innovation initiatives

• Familiarity with model training, fine-tuning, or pipeline integration

• Background in multi-studio or distributed organizations
